Sewing Club - Tea Towel Tote Bag
It's in the bag!
Thread your needle and get ready to sew! In this hands-on sewing club session, kids will learn essential hand-sewing techniques while creating their very own custom tote bag. From threading a needle to mastering basic stitches like the running stitch and backstitch, young crafters will develop real-world skills as they bring their bag to life. Personalize it with fabric choices, decorative touches, and your own unique style.
1 Your Guide
I'm an artist, a speculative-fiction writer, tiny-home dweller, mediocre ukulele player, and a true believer that you can figure out how to make anything you can dream up. Most days, I can be found slinging some mud around on my pottery wheel and trying (and sometimes failing) to prevent my new puppy from chewing on absolutely everything. In addition to my degree in education, I have a bachelors of fine arts and I love volunteering at my local literacy organization! I speak a little German from my time living in Berlin (where I led a weekly STEM club for learners) and I believe every subject in school should be guided through the lens of Art.
I strive to live as sustainably and off-grid as I can. My big dream is to move into a tiny, off-grid, cabin in the forest to make pots all day, especially if I can have a couple of goats (maybe even tiny goats!)
