Globetrotters Mystery Hour

Explore a mystery country every week through food, art, and language

Kids will drop into a mystery country every week using GeoGuessr. Once there, they will explore and discover features of this new land. Kids will listen to other languages, learn fun facts, and either make a craft or an easy and yummy no-cook meal from each mystery country (knife skills required).

1 Your Guide

Alecyn Lea Learn more about me

I'm an artist, a speculative-fiction writer, tiny-home dweller, mediocre ukulele player, and a true believer that you can figure out how to make anything you can dream up. Most days, I can be found slinging some mud around on my pottery wheel and trying (and sometimes failing) to prevent my new puppy from chewing on absolutely everything. In addition to my degree in education, I have a bachelors of fine arts and I love volunteering at my local literacy organization! I speak a little German from my time living in Berlin (where I led a weekly STEM club for learners) and I believe every subject in school should be guided through the lens of Art.

I strive to live as sustainably and off-grid as I can. My big dream is to move into a tiny, off-grid, cabin in the forest to make pots all day, especially if I can have a couple of goats (maybe even tiny goats!)
