Have you ever thought about honouring a person that inspires you with a creative work of art? In this activity, you’ll use a needle and thread to enhance a photo, painting or drawing of someone you look up to. You’ll learn how to use stitching techniques to create your very own multi-media portrait.
1 Your Guide
I’m of German Canadian, Anishanaabe and Metis descent. I’m a practicing artist with over 20 years of exhibiting and selling paintings and drawings, painting murals and teaching art!
I’m a beginner surfer—I’m not very good at it, but every wave I drop is worth the hundreds of wipe outs.

Different types of paper or fabric— magazines - photos - watercolour paper - cardboard - recycling, Different colours and thicknesses of thread or yarn, Different sizes of needles
