Making Music 101

The place to start if you’ve always wanted to make music.

Kids will learn more about music and all of the different elements that are used in creating it! We will cover an overview of Music Theory as a starting point then move into exploring different key signatures, tempos, rhythms , instruments and explain the purpose of each component. From there we will move into composition, arrangement, moods and how different music affects us.

Dee Landsberg Learn more about me

Dee is a voice empowerment specialist, professional singer, producer, DJ, songwriter, and soul-driven teacher. She is passionate about inspiring people of all ages to SING while discovering their authentic voices and sharing their personal stories. With over 15 years of teaching experience, Dee believes that through music and songwriting, we can transform challenges into triumphs. Born into a lineage of Italian and Jewish jazz musicians in Boston, MA, and raised in the mountains of the Kootenays, Dee started writing music and performing live for dance parties at just 17. She has since travelled the world, sharing her gifts with diverse audiences. Dee firmly believes that everyone has the ability to sing—it is our birthright!

When she’s not touring, creating new music, or teaching, you can find Dee hiking, snowboarding, or baking her famous cinnamon buns.

If you already have an instrument you play, or piano in the house, please bring it to the session, If you don't have one that is totally okay!
