Indra's Net
Through myth, art, and science we will explore how we are all entangled and woven together.
Using the myth of Indra's Net as a foundational story, we will play with water ripples in a pan and weave a jewelled net with sticks and yarn to see how story, science, and art can help us explore the big question of how are we all connected.
1 Your Guide
From the time I lined up my stuffed animals to teach them lessons in science, drama, and fun, I knew learning was an adventure. This learning adventure has taken me from teaching English and Psychology to learners ages 5 to 75 in Canada and Japan, to raising two amazing daughters who were also SelfDesign learners. Along the way, I share my life with two furry allies - Jasper the yorkie-poo and Beauty the tabby - who keep our world lively. I believe education is a call to adventure: a chance to explore ideas, stories, and creativity in ways that connect mind, body, and soul. As one of your guides, I look forward to walking beside you as you discover your own heroic path.
A fun fact about me is that I love to propagate plants. I have plant cuttings in glasses of water all around my house, and I am fascinated by watching their roots grow.

Required: Twigs or sticks or popsicle sticks, twine, string or yarn, scissors, beads or jewels, natural adhesives or glue Optional: A cooking pan or dish with about 1- 3 inches of water, a rubber duck
