Build a Paper Airplane Launcher

Ready for take-off?

Kids will learn how to fold a variety of paper airplanes, from classic designs to creative flyers. Then we’ll take it up a notch by building our own paper airplane launchers using simple household materials. Along the way, we’ll explore the basic physics behind flight and by the end, kids will have their own fleet of planes, a custom launcher, and a boost in STEM skills!

Corrina Floyd Learn more about me

Hi, I’m Corrina! I believe the best learning is all about exploring interests and curiosities. As a BC certified teacher with qualifications in Special Education and Urban Education, I have lots of experience helping K-7 learners dive into new ideas to spark their imaginations and sense of wonder. My favourite topics to explore with kiddos are all things science and outdoor education, especially through hands-on STEM activities! If I weren’t a teacher, I would certainly be a Marine Biologist, as ocean life and biology are two of my favourite interests! I love digging through tidal pools looking for interesting marine life and treasures. When I am not teaching, I enjoy hiking, sailing, and playing beach volleyball with friends. I also love playing with my cat Mika, or reading books about adventure or mystery.
