Mini Makers
Use STEAM thinking to make… ANYTHING!
Kids will explore the Engineering Design Process and will practice using their imagination to solve exciting design problems. Makers will learn about shapes in architecture, make flying machine launchers, use physics to make art, and create a prototype to solve a design problem in their own life.
1 Your Guide
I'm an artist, a speculative-fiction writer, tiny-home dweller, mediocre ukulele player, and a true believer that you can figure out how to make anything you can dream up. Most days, I can be found slinging some mud around on my pottery wheel and trying (and sometimes failing) to prevent my new puppy from chewing on absolutely everything. In addition to my degree in education, I have a bachelors of fine arts and I love volunteering at my local literacy organization! I speak a little German from my time living in Berlin (where I led a weekly STEM club for learners) and I believe every subject in school should be guided through the lens of Art.
I strive to live as sustainably and off-grid as I can. My big dream is to move into a tiny, off-grid, cabin in the forest to make pots all day, especially if I can have a couple of goats (maybe even tiny goats!)
